Propecia (finasteride) belongs to a group of medicines called diuretics. It is used to decrease the amount of fluid in the body. This medication should be taken as a whole to get the most benefit from it. Do not crush, chew, or break it. Take the tablet with a full glass of water. Do not take 2 doses at the same time, as this may cause side effects.
